Photography | Different cameras.

They say to take a good photo, you just have to be standing in front of something good. After a whole afternoon out taking photos, this was what I saw out of the window when I got home. It was raining, but the sun had come out.

I took this a few days earlier facing west. The rainbow was when the sun was setting too, but it was in the east. I prefer less vivid sunsets to this with subtle colours, but the cloud formations are interesting.

This is another shot that I took without leaving home. This little guy was on the plastic cover of my little greenhouse. I think he was after my basil plant!

I have taken shots like this with my Fujifilm S56000 and they have come out well. I’m not so sure about this one. It’s basically different shades of green and some white. I think with the Fuji there is more colour separation simply because the images are 72 dpi rather  than 400 dpi. I looked at a photo earlier taken with a Kodak Easyshare 341 at 480 DPI. I think it gave a good picture:

Simon James took this picture and I edited it a little. I think he might be surprised to find that the definition on the Kodak was better than on his new camera! I think these images show that different cameras have different properties and most of them can produce a good image.

Simon took this shot With his Panasonic DMC FZ100 bridge camera. This is at 180 dpi. I edited and cropped this one.

I took this one with the Fujifilm S56000 which is probably the cheapest bridge camera you can get. I like the colours, they aren’t so bright. This is at 72 dpi and I think there is more colour separation.
